With the Loss
- Wake Forest falls to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in the ACC
- Wake Forest has lost its third straight game at Byrd Stadium and six of the last seven
- Jim Grobe's record falls to 71-70 at Wake Forest and 104-103-1 overall
- Grobe's record stands at 38-54 in ACC games and 25-36 in road ACC games
TD Does It Again
- One week after recording a career-high six receptions for a career-high 100 yards, senior Terence Davis topped those marks today, finishing with seven receptions for 130 yards.
- Davis opened the game with a 73-yard touchdown reception on the opening drive to make the score 7-0 Deacs.
- That was Davis' longest reception of his career.
- It was also his seventh career TD and the first since the Vanderbilt game last season.
- Davis had his first career touchdown reception at Bryd Stadium in the Deacons last trip to Maryland in 2010.
- He now has 569 yards receiving in his career.
KJ Gets His First
- Sophomore cornerback Kevin Johnson recorded the first interception of his career in the second quarter.
- He finished the game with four tackles and one pass breakup.
Bohanon Keeps Catching TDs
- Senior fullback Tommy Bohanon caught a 7-yard TD pass from Price in the third quarter, marking his second-straight game with a touchdown reception.
- That is his third TD grab of the year and the fifth of his career.
- The three TD catches are tied with Michael Campanaro for the most on the team this season.
- He finished the game with that one catch for seven yards.
- This came one week after he tied his career-high with three catches for a career-high 41 yards and two TD grabs against Duke.
Lowe Stepping In
- Safety Duran Lowe stepped-in to the starting lineup for the suspended Daniel Mack and he recorded a career-high nine tackles.
- His previous career-high was six as a freshman against Boston College and NC State.
- Lowe also forced his first career fumble in the game.
Miscellaneous Notes
- Wake Forest captains were Chibuikem Okoro and Joey Ehrmann.
- Maryland won the toss and elected to defer.
- Wake Forest scored first for the first time this season.
- Lovell Jackson had a 31-yard punt return in the first quarter, which was the longest of his career.
- Maryland's Brad Craddock nailed 52-yardd field goal in the first quarter. That was the longed FG allowed by the Deacs since Nate Freese of Boston College hit from 52 last year.
- Offensive lineman Gabe Irby recorded his first pass reception on a batted ball in the second quarter.
- Redshirt-freshman Chad Hedlund made his Demon Deacon debut on a PAT in the third quarter.
- The 53 yards rushing for Maryland were the fewest Wake Forest has allowed since allowing just 22 yards on the ground to Garnder-Webb last season.
