  • Wake Forest is making its first trip to one of college football's great venues as it heads to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium.
  • Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and can be seen nationally on NBC. The game will also be carried live on the Wake Forest Sports Network from IMG College.
  • This is the second game all-time between to the two private schools.
  • Notre Dame won last year's meeting 24-17 in Winston-Salem.
  • The Deacons are in search of their sixth win which would make them bowl eligible for the fifth time in the last seven seasons.
  • Wake Forest is coming off a tough performance in a 37-6 loss at NC State last Saturday.
  • State scored the first 17 points and seized all remaining momentum by running the second half kickoff back 100 yards for a touchdown.
  • Fresh off his record-setting 16 reception game against Boston College, wide receiver Michael Campanaro had five catches against NC State, giving him a school-record 21 receptions in back-to-back contests.
  • Campanaro also threw the Deacons' only touchdown pass on the day, taking a pitch from quarterback Tanner Price and finding fellow wide receiver Terence Davis for a 39-yard score. That was Campanaro's third touchdown pass of his career.
  • Defensively, juniors AJ Marshall and Daniel Mack each recorded a career-high 10 tackles in the game.
  • The Deacons had come into the game allowing an average of 53.5 yards rushing in the previous four games. But NC State running back Shadrack Thornton rolled-up 110 yards on the ground, making him the first back in the series with more than 100 yards in a game since 2005.
