- Wake Forest will head to Lawrence, Kan. to take on the Kansas Jayhawks on Sunday, Nov. 18.

Last Time Out
- The Demon Deacons held on down the stretch and survived a last-second three-point attempt to claim a 60-59 victory over UNC Wilmington last Wednesday.
- Senior Lakevia Boykin led four Deacons in double-figures with 18 points on 3-of-8 from the beyond the arc.
- Junior point guard Chelsea Douglas finished with 14 points and three assists. She leads the team with a scoring average of just over 18 points per game.
- Sophomore Dearica Hamby had a solid all-around game for the Deacs, scoring 10 points, grabbing eight rebounds, notching six steals and dishing out three assists.
- UNC Wilmington's last lead was with 14:20 to play in the first half but the Seahawks were within striking distance all game.
- A missed free throw on the Deacons' end led to a final possession for the Seahawks with 25 seconds left. Tawanna Lee found herself open on the wing but her three-pointer as time expired rimmed-out.

- Kansas has started the season 2-0 with win overs Idaho State and Southeast Missouri State.
- Carolyn Davis scored 27 points on 12-of-16 from the floor in the Jayhawks 68-58 victory over Southeast Missouri State last Wednesday.
- Davis leads the team in scoring at 18.5 points per game.
- Tania Jackson has averaged nearly a double-double through the first two games with nine points and 10 rebounds per contest.
- Kansas is coming off a 21-13 season a year ago which featured a run to the Sweet 16.
Series History
- This will be just the third all-time meeting between the two schools.
- Kansas has won each of the previous two meetings.
- In last year's contest, a runner by Jayhawk Kenna Mays with five seconds remaining allowed Kansas to sneak out of Winston-Salem with a 74-73 victory.
Next Up...
- There will be no rest as the Deacons will have one day off before heading to the US Virgin Islands for the 2012 Paradise Jam on Tuesday.
- Wake Forest will practice on Wednesday before opening the tournament on Thursday. No. 2 Connecticut. Wake will then play No. 14 Purdue on Friday and Marist on Saturday.
- The Deacons are 0-2 all-time against UConn, 2-1 all-time against Purdue and will be meeting Marist for the first time.
