For years, the official All-Atlantic Coast Conference football team has been selected in a vote by members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. For the first time in 2012, the ACC head coaches have also named an All-ACC team.

Wake Forest landed four players on the coaches team: wide receiver Michael Campanaro and nose tackle Nikita Whitlock were both second team choices. Defensive backs Kevin Johnson and A.J. Marshall were each honorable mention selections.

Campanaro led the Deacons with 79 catches for 763 yards and six touchdowns in 2012. The redshirt junior led the ACC in receptions per game with 7.9.

A redshirt junior, Whitlock recorded 51 total tackles including 27 solo stops as a redshirt junior this fall. He had three sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss.

Johnson, who started all 12 games as a redshirt sophomore, led Wake Forest with three interceptions and 15 pass break-ups. He is tied for eighth nationally in passes defended.

Marshall also started all 12 games as a junior and finished third on the team with 76 tackles. He had a pair of interceptions on the season including a return for a touchdown against Liberty.
