Wake Forest Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik

On whether the lack of aggressiveness was due to a young team...
"I'm not going to use youth as an excuse. We were tentative and loose with the ball. It was everyone. Everyone contributed. We were playing not to lose instead of staying aggressive like we were throughout most of the game. We got cautious, tentative and loose with the basketball--something that we stressed (not doing) every timeout."

On dealing with Seton Hall press...
"We were loose with the ball. They tipped it from behind instead of when we'd get it in there just to catch it, turn and face, be ripped at ball. Take one hard dribble. Just two people on the ball the spacing to hit people, to meet passes, to jump toward the ball. All of those things that you see us work on every day, we just got very whether it be we lost or confidence or we got (shaken), whatever it may be, we didn't do what we were supposed to do in terms of great strength and commitment to being ball strong. At the end you know we had our free throw shooters in. I only had one time out. We knew what we were supposed to do. Be ball strong, but as soon as we caught it, we just threw it. We were supposed to turn, face the court and you have a guy down the middle, a guy down the strong side out and a guy behind you, but it was just a hot potato to us."

On reading Seton Hall in the second half...
"We knew they were putting their head down and driving. We have to do a better job of keeping people in front of us. We got lazy on our switches. Again, I thought we lost our aggressiveness which got us where we were to that point in the game with the lead. It's a long season, and we need to be mentally tough and strong."

Seton Hall Head Coach Kevin Willard

On the Seton Hall press in the second half...
"When you're down 12 or 13 you've got to change what you're doing. I thought we did a good job of slowing them down. First half, we let them run up and down. We were able to get after them and kind of slow them down. I thought that changed the whole momentum of the game."

On the rebounding difference...
"That's something that [Wake Forest] struggled on mightily throughout the year. I think that's their only weakness. I really like this team. C.J. Harris and Travis [McKie] are obviously great. But these young kids have tremendous talent. I think they have a chance to really grow into something special with the fact that they're all coming back. We thought we could get it inside, hurt them inside, and I thought we did a good job of that."

On Eugene Teague's foul trouble and the impact on the press...
"We don't press with our "5" guy. He mainly just hangs out anyways. When you're 6-8, 285 there's not much you can do with that guy in the press. He loves when we press because he doesn't have to do absolutely anything."
