The Wake Forest football team will hold its annual Spring Football Scrimmage this Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m. at BB&T Field. Admission is FREE.
The Spring Scrimmage will give fans the opportunity to see the football team's progress and will offer a number of fun activities for all ages. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. and fans will have the opportunity to spend time with friends while enjoying food, music, face painting, and inflatables for kids. After the conclusion of the Spring Scrimmage, fans are invited to stay at BB&T Field and enjoy an autograph session with the players.
With anticipation of a great home football schedule, the Spring Scrimmage is a nice place for fans who have not yet purchased their 2012 season tickets to get more information. Group Sales staff will be on hand with information about season tickets, football seat rights, and group ticket opportunities. Season tickets are also available for purchase by calling the ticket office at (336) 758-3322 or visiting WakeForestSports.com.
After the Spring Scrimmage, Deacon fans will want to be sure to make their way next door to Gene Hooks Field at the Wake Forest Baseball Park to watch the Demon Deacons take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 4 p.m. Tickets to the baseball game are only $5 and can be purchased at the gate or by calling the Wake Forest Ticket Office at (336) 758-3322.
Traffic access to BB&T Field will be limited in the morning of April 14 because of the Hospice Hope Run taking place near the event. Until 11:30 a.m., fans arriving for the Spring Scrimmage should enter the Gold lot from Reynolds Boulevard and Whitaker Park. All other lots and entrances are expected to open by 11:30 a.m..
