Reynolds Ready for Sophomore Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest practiced under the lights on Friday night at the Doc Martin Football Complex, as the Demon Deacons had their first, and much anticipated, practice with full pads.
"We've been waiting for this for a long time, so we are definitely excited," said sophomore tailback Orville Reynolds prior to the beginning of practice. "We've been talking about it all day, and we're going to see people make some plays and make some hits."
Reynolds - a native of Coral Springs, Fla., and the only true sophomore on the team - played in five games last year, making his debut against Notre Dame on November 5. He finished the year with 28 carries and 109 yards on the ground, but the Deacs will look for Reynolds to play a more prominent role in the offense in 2012.
"My freshman year is out of the way, so now I'm just out here trying to help the team," said Reynolds. "It's not really that hard to learn the plays since that's what I did my freshman year, so now I'm out here just playing football."
Reynolds is slated to split time in the backfield with redshirt junior Josh Harris who has rushed for 1,152 yards in two seasons of action. Harris picked up a career-best 720 yards as a redshirt freshman in 2010 before carrying the ball for 432 yards last season.
Wake Forest is slated to practice again tomorrow night under the lights, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Doc Martin Football Complex. After a day off on Sunday, the team will then have its first double session on Monday.
