With the Loss

Shutout

Wake Forest was shutout for the first time since losing 31-0 at Florida State on Sept. 25, 2010.
The Demon Deacons have not scored an offensive touchdown in each of its last three trips to Doak Campbell Stadium (2008, 2010, 2012).
The last Demon Deacon TD was scored by Kevin Patterson on a 48-yard interception return to close out a 30-0 win on Nov. 11, 2006
The Demon Deacons recorded just 126 yards of total offense today, which is the fewest since Jim Grobe took in 2001.
It was also the first time under 200 yards of total offense since Nov. 13, 2010 at NC State (188 yards).
The 52-0 loss was the worst loss since Jim Grobe took over in 2001.

Redding Does It Again

Junior defensive end Kris Redding forced his second fumble of the season when he knocked the ball loose from EJ Manuel in the second quarter.
Redding also forced a fumble in the season-opener against Liberty
On the play, Redding also recorded the first sack of his career.

True Freshman Starters

True freshman nose guard Tylor Harris started for the first time in his career.
He is the 11th true freshman to start under Jim Grobe and the first since Kevin Johnson, A.J. Marshall and Tanner Price all started in 2010.

Tough Day For Price

Quarterback Tanner Price had a rough afternoon, finishing just 8-of-22 for 82 yards.
The eight completions are fewest since October 16, 2010 at Virginia Tech when he was just 3-of-16.
It was also the first time Price didn't record at least 100 yards passing in the game since Nov. 27, 2010 at Vanderbilt when he threw for just 73 yards.

Kinal Getting A Workout

Freshman punter Alex Kinal punted 13 times today for 520 yards and an average of 40.0 yards per punt.
That is the most punts for Demon Deacon in a game since Jim Grobe took over in 2001.

Florida State won the toss and elected to defer.

Junior running back Josh Harris ripped-off is longest run of the season in the first quarter with a 34-yard scamper.
Freshman quarterback Kevin Sousa made his Demon Deacon debut and rushed two times for minus-1 yard.
