- Wake Forest is set to host one of our nation's prestigious service academies, as the Demon Deacons welcome in the Army Black Knights for Homecoming Weekend on Saturday afternoon at BB&T Field.
- The Deacons (2-1, 1-1 ACC) are coming off a 52-0 loss at No. 5-ranked Florida State last Saturday in Tallahassee.
- The loss was the first of the season for the Deacons and it also marked Wake Forest's first time being shut out since its last trip to Tallahassee in 2010.
- Josh Harris rushed 15 times for 51 yards, and Sherman Ragland caught two passes for 48 yards to lead the offense.
- Brandon Chubb led the defense with seven tackles. Kris Redding had four tackles, including two sacks, and forced a fumble that was recovered by freshman Tylor Harris, who made his first career start in place of injured nose guard Nikita Whitlock.
- For the year, quarterback Tanner Price is 51-of-88 for 604 yards and one touchdown. He is also tied for the team-lead with a pair of rushing touchdowns.
- Despite a tough game last weekend, junior Michael Campanaro is one of the top receivers in the ACC. He's hauled in 24 passes this season for 268 yards and one score.
- The Black Knights (0-2) are looking for their first win of the season after suffering a 41-40 loss to Northern Illinois last Saturday at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y.
- Three Army players rushed for 100 yards, but Northern Illinois made a key defensive stand late in the game to spoil the Black Knights' home opener.
- Running back Raymond Maples ran for 165 yards and a touchdown, fullback Larry Dixon picked up 136 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Trent Steelman battled for 129 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Black Knights.
