Josh Bush - Jets
The New York Jets hit a field goal in overtime to win the game 23-20 over the Miami Dolphins. Bush continued to be involved on special teams as he had an assisted tackle on a kickoff early in the fourth quarter. The Jets were able to capitalize on a missed field goal attempt by the Dolphins earlier in overtime. The Jets move to 2-1 on the year and will host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday as they look to improve to 3-1 for the season.
Tyson Clabo - Falcons
The undefeated Atlanta Falcons traveled to San Diego as they took on the Chargers in a non-conference matchup. The Falcons went up 20-0 going into halftime as Boston College alumni Matt Ryan threw three touchdowns to three different receivers. Clabo anchored a line that helped the Falcons' offense put up 384 yards for the game. With the win, the Falcons move to 3-0 on the year for the first time since 2004. The Falcons host the Carolina Panthers this Sunday as they look to stay undefeated.
Chris Givens - Rams
Givens reeled in his first career NFL reception on Sunday as the St. Louis Rams fell to the Chicago Bears 23-9. Givens finished the day with two receptions for a total of nine yards and was also targeted two other times on short pass attempts. The Rams battled all game but were unable to shut down the Bears' offense at the end as they let up 13 points in the fourth quarter. The Rams fell to 1-2 on the year and will take on division opponent the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Joe Looney - 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers came into Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings with a top-10 rushing game but was unable to generate any first-half offense as they started the second half trailing 17-3. The 49ers were able to put up 10 unanswered points in the third quarter but their charge was not enough to overcome the deficit as they fell to the Vikings 24-13. Looney, who has not seen any action yet, still sits second on the depth chart at the left guard position. The 49ers travel on Sunday to take on the New York Jets in a game where both teams currently have 2-1 records.
Calvin Pace - Jets
Pace helped the New York Jets' defense make important plays all game long. Pace finished the game with five total tackles, three of which were solo tackles. It was the third consecutive game in which Pace contributed five total tackles. The Jets' defense lost a key player for the remainder of the season as cornerback Darelle Revis tore his ACL late in the third quarter. The Jets will look for Pace and the rest of the defense to step up after losing Revis. The Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers at home on Sunday.
Steve Vallos - Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles traveled to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a conference matchup between undefeated teams. The Cardinals jumped out to a 24-0 first-half lead with the help of Cardinals' quarterback Kevin Kolb's two touchdown passes. Vallos made his first appearance with the Eagles in the game on the offensive line. His appearance in the game on Sunday came less than a week after the Eagles re-signed him on Sept. 18.
