Wake Forest Tournament History:
- The Deacons are making their 13th appearance at the Carpet Capital
- This will be Wake's sixth-straight season opening the year at the Carpet Capital
- As a team, the Deacs have finished in the top-6 four times including a pair of runner-up finishes in 2004 and 2010
- Individually, Wake has had a pair of medalists. Bill Haas won the event in 2002 and Lee Bedford won the event in 2010.
- In 2010, Wake finished runner-up behind Bedford's victory and Evan Beck's second place finish.
- Overall, a Demon Deacon has finished in the top-10 nine times in the 12 appearances.
Wake Forest Notes:
- Senior Charlie Harrison will be playing in the Carpet Capital for the third-straight season.
- Harrison finished tied for 22nd as a sophomore in 2010 and tied for 42nd as a junior last season.
- Harrison comes into the week after winning his final event of the summer, which was a Carolina Mountain Pro Series event.
- Junior Thomas Birdsey also finished tied with Harrison in 42nd place last season in his first Carpet Capital appearance.
- Junior Beau Cutts will be playing in just his fourth event as a member of the scoring team. He opened qualifying this fall with a round of 63.
- Junior John Varol was the only member of the current team to qualify for the U.S. Amateur this past summer.
- Freshman Grayson Murray will be making his Demon Deacon debut this week.
