- Wake Forest improves to 2-0 for the first time since the 2010 season
- Wake Forest opens ACC play with a win for third consecutive year
- Wake Forest won its ACC home opener for the seventh consecutive season

- Jim Grobe's record at Wake Forest improves to 70-67 in his 12th year and 103-100-1 overall in his 17th year
Grobe and Deacs vs. In-State Rivals
- Wake Forest improves to 31-8 in games against in-state opponents since Jim Grobe's arrival in 2001.
- Wake Forest has now won 12 straight games at home against in-state rivals.
- Wake Forest improves to 20-2 in home games vs. in-state opponents under Grobe.
- Wake Forest has now won three of the last four meetings with North Carolina.
Price Takes To The Ground....
- Quarterback Tanner Price had a tremendous night for the Deacs both on the ground and through the air. He recorded two rushing touchdowns in the game for the first time in his career.
- He now has seven rushing touchdowns in his career.
- That was his first rushing touchdown since Sept. 17, 2011 against Gardner-Webb.
- Price finished the game with five yards on the ground on seven carries.
...And To The Air
- Quarterback Tanner Price not only had a career game on the ground but he also had a career night through the air.
- Price was 27-of-38 for a career-high 327 yards.
- His previous career-high was 326 yards against Navy on Oct. 9, 2010.
- The 327 passing yards are the most for a Demon Deacon against North Carolina. He broke Cory Randolph's record of 311 set in 2003.
- He moves into 6th place in career pass completions with 433.
- He is now seventh in career passing yards with 4,888.
The Beat Goes On
- After having a career-high 10 catches last week, junior wide receiver Michael Campanaro hauled in a new career-high 13 passes for a career-high 164 yards.
- The 13 receptions are the most for the Demon Deacon against North Carolina. He broke Desmond Clark's record of 11 set during the 1997 season.
- Campanaro's 13 catches are also tied for the second-most for any receiver ever against North Carolina.
- In the first half, Campanaro had nine catches for 108.
Welcome Aboard Hasan
- Transfer grad student Hasan Hazime was thrust into the starting line after an injury to Zach Thompson and he made the most of his opportunity.
- In the second quarter, Hazime recorded his first sack as a Demon Deacon and also forced and recovered his first fumble on the same play. That lead to a Wake Forest touchdown.
- Hazime finished the game with five tackles, two pass breakups and one sack.
Brandon Terry Has A Career Night
- Redshirt freshman Brandon Terry made his Demon Deacon debut last week and caught one pass for 38 yards.
- Tonight, he caught four passes for a career-high 87 yards.
Martin Runs It and Throws It
- Running back Deandre Martin did it all on a Deacon touchdown drive in the second quarter. He connected with Brandon Terry on a 35-yard pass down the right sideline. He then finished the drive with a 4-yard touchdown plunge.
- On the drive, Martin was 1-for-1 passing for 35 yards and had four carries for 13 yards and a TD.
- That was his second career touchdown.
Kinal Does It Again
- Freshman punter Alex Kinal had his second great game. He punted seven times for an average of 42.9.
- The average was a bit skewed because of his placement, downing five punts inside the 20-yardline.
- His longest punt tonight was 50 yards, which ties his season-high.
Non-QB Passes Under Grobe
- The Demon Deacons have had a knack for completing passes from non-quarterbacks. Deandre Martin's pass completion tonight was the latest.
- Under Grobe, Wake Forest is now 23-of-33 for 694 yards and eight touchdowns with just one interception.
Defensive Notes
- Junior Justin Jackson recorded a career-high nine tackles, including his second career sack.
- Senior Riley Haynes had his first career interception on a 4th and 6 play with just 44 seconds on the clock.
- Freshman Desmond Floyd made his Demon Deacon debut and recorded two tackles.
- As a team, the Demon Deacons had five pass breakups (Hazime 2, Johnson 1, Redding 1, Olson 1)
- Overall, the Deacs had eight tackles for loss.
Miscellaneous Notes
- The game was delayed 1:07 due to severe weather in the area.
- Wake Forest captains were juniors Michael Campanaro and AJ Marshall.
- Wake Forest won the toss and elected to receive.
- Fullback Tommy Bohanon tied a career-high with three receptions for 28 yards.
- Freshman Sherman Ragland III caught just two passes on the night, but both occurred on the 11-play game-winning drive.
- After not playing last week, senior Terrence Davis recorded three catches for 33 yards.
