WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District women's soccer team, marking her third consecutive year of earning Academic All-District honors.
Bledsoe, who last year became the first Academic All-American in program history, will again be up for Academic All-America honors by virtue of her All-District selection. To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 GPA while being a meaningful contributor on the field in at least her second year at the school.
A senior, Bledsoe has started all 91 games since arriving at Wake Forest and holds a number of school goalkeeping records including the career shutout mark (31). She has earned NSCAA All-America honors the past two seasons and ranks fourth in NCAA Division I history in minutes played by a goalkeeper.
Bledsoe also excels academically, boasting a 3.92 GPA - the highest on the team - while following a pre-med curriculum with a major in health and exercise science and minors in biology and chemistry.
In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Bledsoe is currently a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award, an award given to a senior for success on and off the field. Fans are encouraged to vote for Bledsoe at SeniorClassAward.com
