Wake Forest Hosts Virginia in ACC Quarterfinals
Wake Forest will host Virginia in the ACC Men's Soccer Championship quarterfinals on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
The Demon Deacons earned the No. 3 seed, while the Cavaliers earned the No. 6 seed. This marks the second straight year the two schools will meet at Spry Stadium as the No. 3 & No. 6 seeds in the ACC Championship.

Last Time Out
Wake Forest ended the regular season on a high note with a convincing 4-1 win over ACC newcomer Syracuse.
Ian Harkes, Sean Okoli, Luca Gimenez and Kovi Konowiecki each scored a goal for the Deacs in the win. Chris Duvall, Ross Tomaselli, Teddy Mullin and Tane Gent recorded assists.
Harkes got the Demon Deacons on the board with his first-career goal in the 19th minute, and Okoli made it 2-0 in the 29th minute.
Gimenez put Wake Forest on top 3-0 in the 68th minute before `Cuse got on the board in the 77th minute. Konowiecki answered with his first-career goal in the 80th minute to cap the scoring.
Virginia Notes
Virginia has only lost one time since they last played the Demon Deacons on Sept. 13. Since then, the Cavaliers are 8-1-4 with their lone loss coming at home to North Carolina on Nov. 1.
The Cavaliers have a balanced attack. Eric Bird leads the team with six goals, while Darius Madison and Riggs Lennon each have five goals apiece.
Jeff Gal has started all but one game in the net and has a 1.02 goals against average to go along with 35 saves.
Series History
Wake Forest and Virginia are no strangers, as the teams have met at least two times in each of the last five seasons and six of the last seven seasons.
The Cavaliers lead the all-time series 35-10-7, but since 2006 (the Deacs first year at the College Cup) Wake Forest is 7-5-3 vs. Virginia.
The two squads have also met in the ACC Tournament every since 2006 except for 2007, as Virginia has advanced five out of those six meetings.

The winner of Tuesday's ACC quarterfinal matchup will move on to play the winner of No. 2-seed Notre Dame and No. 7-seed Duke on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md.
