- After winning its home-opener, Wake Forest heads back out on the road to take on CAA foe Delaware this Friday.
- The game is set to tip off at 8:00 p.m., at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Last Time Out
- Junior forward Dearica Hamby scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds to lead Wake Forest to a 73-65 victory over Campbell.
- Hamby bested her career-highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds which came against Campbell last season.
- Point guard Chelsea Douglas made four three-pointers and finished with 22 points and two assists.
- Freshmen Ataijah Taylor and Jill Brunori each had solid games as Taylor scored 10 points and had four rebounds while Brunori chipped-in with seven points and 10 boards.
- The Deacs used a 12-1 run at the end of the first half to build a 36-23 lead at the break and would eventually push the lead to 18 points early in the second half.
- But a full court press and hot shooting from the outside brought the Camels to within two on a couple occasions. Thanks to big buckets from Hamby and Douglas, the Deacs were able to hang on down the stretch.
Wake Forest Storylines
- Senior Chelsea Douglas is the top-returning scoring point guard in the ACC and she had a great start to the season. She is currently 16th in school history with 1,182 career points and also 4th with 178 career three-pointers.
- Douglas and Dearica Hamby have both scored over 20 points in each of the first two games. This is the first time in school-history that teammates have each scored 20 or more points in the first two games of a season.
- No single player has ever scored 20 points in the first three games of a season.
The opposition
- Delaware has started the season 1-1 with a win at Rhode Island and a loss at home to Temple.

- Kelsey Buchanan leads the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game and she is grabbing 7.5 rebounds per contest. She also has started the season 14-of-17 from the free throw line.
