- Wake Forest falls to 4-7 overall and 2-6 in the ACC
- Coach Grobe's record stands at 77-81 in his 13th year at Wake Forest and 110-114-1 in his 19th year as a head coach
- Duke has won back-to-back games against Wake Forest for the first time since 1998-99

True Freshman To The Endzone
- Freshman Thomas Brown scooped-up a fumble in the opening quarter and returned it 59 yards for the first touchdown of his career.
- It was also the first touchdown but a Demon Deacon true-freshman to score a touchdown since Tanner Price scored on a run against Duke in 2010.
Whitlock Still At It
- With a sack in the opening quarter, senior Nikita Whitlock has now recorded a tackle for loss in 10 of the 11 games this season.
- He finished the game with a total of five tackles.
- This season, Whitlock has nine sacks and 17 tackles for loss. Both totals are team-highs.
Bishop Scores on Senior Day
- Senior tight end Spencer Bishop caught his second-career touchdown on his Senior Day.
- Bishop also hauled-in a TD in the season-opener against Presbyterian.
- For the game, Bishop had two receptions for 14 yards.
Defensive Notes
- Corner back Merrill Noel made seven tackles, had a tackle for loss and forced a fumble but suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter and never returned.
- Brandon Chubb led the team with eight stops.
- Freshman Thomas Brown recovered his first-career fumble and returned it 59 yards for his first-career touchdown.
