- After breaking for finals week, the Demon Deacons return to the court as they host in-state foe UNC Wilmington Monday evening.
- The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. ET from the LJVM Coliseum.

Last Time Out
- Wake Forest broke open a close game with a strong defensive effort in the second half to cruise to a 69-49 victory over visiting Belmont on Dec. 3.
- Senior Chelsea Douglas returned to form as she hit five three-pointers and led all scorers with 27 points.
- Junior Dearica Hamby finished the night with 16 points and 13 rebounds. She was 7-of-11 from the floor and also blocked one shot.
- Senior Lindsy Wright had her best night of the season as she scored eight points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds to go along with a steal and a block.
- The Deacons led by just three at halftime and raced out to a nine-point lead early in the second half. But seven Wake Forest fouls in the first five minutes of the second half allowed Belmont to climb back within one a 37-36. The Deacons then committed just three fouls and held the Bruins to just 13 points over the final 15 minutes.
Wake Forest Storylines
- Dearica Hamby has notched seven double-doubles this season. She was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Nugget Classic and currently is second in the ACC in scoring at 20.2 points per game.
- Senior Chelsea Douglas was the first player in school history to score 20 or more points in the first three games of a season. She leads the ACC in scoring (21.0) and is second in three-pointers made (34).
- Douglas is currently 9th in school history with 1,323 career points and also second with 205 career three-pointers.
The Opposition
- UNCW enters the contest with a 1-8 record on the year. The Seahawks victory came over Northern Kentucky at home on Nov. 16.
- Kelva Atkins leads the Seahawks in scoring (18.2), three-pointers (14), assists (37), steals (25) and is second in rebounding (6.0).
- UNCW head coach Adell Harris is a four-year Demon Deacon lettwinnger and a 2002 Wake Forest graduate. As a senior, Harris averaged 4.6 points per game and almost four assists per contest.
- Seahawk assistant coach Jason Eshbaugh was the director of women's basketball operations at Wake Forest from 2004-12.
Series History
- The Demon Deacons are a perfect 8-0 all-time against UNCW.
- Wake held on for a 60-59 victory last season at the Joel Coliseum.

- Wake Forest will entertain South Alabama this Friday, Dec. 20.
