Parkhurst on Latest USMNT Training Camp Roster

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Wake Forest soccer player Michael Parkhurst has been invited to training camp for the U.S. Men's National Team in advance of a five-game stretch in May and June, as announced by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Thursday.
The team will meet in Cleveland on May 26 with the first game coming against Belgium on May 29 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. The Americans will then play the Centennial Celebration Match against Germany on June 2 at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C.
World Cup Qualifying resumes shortly after on June 7 when the U.S. heads to Kingston to play Jamaica. On June 11, the team will head back to the United States to host Panama on June 11 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The final contest of this three-match set will be at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, on June 18 against Honduras.
The U.S. Men's National Team is currently in second place in the Final Round of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and is riding a 21-0-2 unbeaten streak at home in World Cup qualifying.
Parkhurst, who is in his first season playing for FC Augsburg in the German Bundesliga, is one of eight defenders who have been called into training camp. Parkhurst has 15 international caps and was last on the roster on February 6, 2013 for the Honduras qualifier.
