GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest senior golfer Evan Beck has been named first team All-ACC as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Beck earns his second All-ACC honor as he was also named All-ACC as a sophomore in 2010-11.
After earning All-ACC honors as a sophomore, Beck had what would be considered an off-year last year, averaging nearly 75 strokes per round and notching just two top-20 finishes. But he responded this year with one of the most consistent seasons in school-history.
Beck played in 10 events this year and finished in the top-20 nine times. He led the team with a 71.8 scoring average and notched three runner-up finishes amongst his five top-5s. He finished five tournaments this year under par and played 18 of his 29 rounds at par or better. The Virginia Beach, Va., native was also a finalist for the Byron Nelson Award this year which honors the senior golfer in the country.
