Last Time Out
- Wake Forest is coming off an injury-riddled 2012 season that saw the Deacons finish 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the ACC.
- Wake Forest returns 47 letterwinners, including 19 starters, from last year's squad. The Deacons have eight starters returning on both offense and defense, in addition to bringing back all three starting specialists.
Wake Forest Storylines
- History is on the horizon for Grobe, who enters the season only four wins away from reaching the top of Wake's all-time wins chart.
- Quarterback Tanner Price is on pace to finish second to only Riley Skinner (2006-09) in nearly every major career passing list in school history.
- A total of 23 true freshmen have seen the field in Jim Grobe's first 12 years at Wake Forest. If all indications are true, that number could jump quite a bit this season.
- Star Watch: Flanker Michael Campanaro and nose guard Nikita Whitlock made a number of preseason watch lists for national awards.
- Tailback Josh Harris is ranks among active ACC rushing leaders.
The Opposition & Series History
- FCS foe Presbyterian finished 2-9 overall and 0-6 in the Big South last season. Head coach Harold Nichols, a 1990 PC alum, is in his fifth season at the helm of the program.
- Wake Forest holds a 6-4-1 edge in the all-time series with Presbyterian. The Deacons have won six straight in the series after going winless in the first five meetings from 1926-1930.
- The Deacons opened the 2010 season with a 53-13 defeat of the Blue Hose, setting a then-BB&T Field record for points scored.

- The Demon Deacons will hit the road to open ACC play on Friday, Sept. 6, as they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to take on Atlantic Division rival Boston College.
- The game will be televised on ESPN at 8 p.m.
- Wake Forest has won the last two games in the series including a 27-19 victory in its last trip to Alumni Stadium in 2011.
