- No. 10 Wake Forest will take on North Texas and Louisville in this weekend's Wake Forest Invitational
- The Demon Deacons will take on the Mean Green on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Cardinals on Sunday at 2 p.m.
- Virginia Tech is also participating in the tournament and will face Louisville at 4 p.m. Friday and North Texas at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Deacs Sweep SEC Foes on Opening Weekend
- Wake Forest started the season 2-0 after downing Kentucky and Alabama on opening weekend.
- The Deacons took down the Wildcats 3-1 in the season opener before shutting out the Crimson Tide 3-0 two days later.
- Senior All-American Katie Stengel led the way for the Deacons, tallying three assists against Kentucky before scoring two goals against Alabama.
Wake Forest Storylines
- Katie Stengel assisted on all three Wake Forest goals against Kentucky to tie the Wake Forest school record for assists in a game. Only two other Demon Deacons have ever put on three-assist performances.
- Freshman Caroline Wootten earned points in her first two games as a Demon Deacon, scoring a goal against Kentucky and earning an assist against Alabama.
- The Demon Deacons have used veteran lineups in their first two games, starting nine seniors and juniors in each. The other two starters in both games were freshmen Sarah Teegarden and Kendall Fischlein.
- Wake Forest is ranked No. 10 in this week's NSCAA Coaches Poll. The Deacons have been ranked in the Top 10 in four of the last six NSCAA polls, dating back to the 2012 season.
- Aubrey Bledsoe did not face a shot on goal in keeping a shutout in the 3-0 win over Alabama. The senior now has 26 shutouts in her career.
Next Up...
- Wake Forest will head west for the Portland Nike Invitational. The Deacons will take on Washington on Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. EDT before taking on host Portland on Aug. 8 at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
- It will be the Demon Deacons' first trip to the West Coast since traveling to Irvine, Calif. for the opening rounds of the 2010 NCAA Championship.
