Wake Forest will play Coastal Carolina to open the 2013 season on Friday at 8 p.m. at Spry Stadium. Two days later, the Demon Deacons will host Monmouth at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
Wake Forest enters the season ranked No. 17 in the NSCAA polls, while Coastal Carolina is ranked No. 13 in the nation.

Both games over the weekend will be streamed live on WakeForestSports.com. Steven Wright will have the call on Friday, while Tyler Collins will call the game on Sunday.

Last time Out
Wake Forest played a pair of exhibition games, winning them both.
The Demon Deacons defeated Campbell 2-1 on the road on August 17 behind goals from Teddy Mullin and Luca Gimenez.
Wake Forest then defeated Furman 3-2 last Saturday at Spry Stadium. Sean Okoli scored the hat trick for the Deacs in victory, while Luca Gimenez picked up two assists on the night. Nearly 2,800 people were in attendance for the preseason matchup.
Coastal Carolina & Series History
Coastal Carolina has been picked to finish first in the Big South by the league's head coaches.
In addition, Pedro Ribeiro was voted Big South Preseason Attacking Player of the Year and Uchenna Uzo was voted Preseason Defender of the Year.
The Chanticleers ended Wake Forest's season a year ago, defeating the Demon Deacons 2-1 in overtime of the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Jakub Stourac scored the game-winner, while Justin Portillo tied the game in the 65th minute.
Overall, Wake Forest is 4-1-0 all-time against Coastal Carolina, with wins coming in 1999, 2004, 2006 and 2007.
Monmouth & Series History
Monmouth moves to the Metro Athletic Athletic Conference this year after winning seven regular season titles and four tournament crowns in the last eight years.
Wake Forest defeated Monmouth 2-0 in the team's second game of the national championship season of 2007. Cody Arnoux scored both goals in the two schools' only meeting.

The Demon Deacons will begin the ACC season already when they travel to Boston College on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Eagles defeated Wake Forest 1-0 in Winston-Salem last season, while the Deacs will be looking for their first-ever win at Boston College (0-3-1).
