Deacons and Cavaliers to Battle on Friday
Wake Forest will host Virginia on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium in the Demon Deacons' first ACC home match of the season.

Last time Out
Wake Forest opened up the conference season with a 2-0 road win at Boston College last Saturday night.
The win was the first-ever road win at Boston College for Wake Forest.
Ian Harkes dished out a pair of assists and Andy Lubahn and Jared Watts both scored. Luca Gimenez also had an assist in the game.
Lubahn put Wake Forest up 1-0 in the 28th minute, while Watts added an insurance goal in the 75th minute to shut the door on the Eagles.
Andrew Harris picked up his first start of the season and his first-career shutout, making two saves to earn the clean sheet.
Virginia Notes
Wake Forest marks the fourth straight ranked opponent that Virginia has faced to begin the 2013 season. So far, the Cavaliers are 1-2-0 on the season and 0-1-0 in the ACC.
Virginia gave up two first-half goals and lost 2-0 at Clemson last Friday.
Jordan Allen, Scott Thomsen and Brian James are the three players who have scored so far this season for Virginia, each recording one goal. Allen also has the team's lone assist.
Jeff Gal has played every minute in goal and has made seven saves while posting a 1.33 goals against average.
Series History
Virginia has historically held the upper hand in the series, leading Wake Forest 35-9-7 all-time.
Since 2006, the Demon Deacons and the Cavaliers have met 14 times. In those 14 meetings, Wake Forest holds a slight 6-5-3 advantage over Virginia.
Last season, the Deacs picked up a 4-1 win on the road in the regular season. The teams then tied in the ACC Tournament 2-2, but the Cavaliers advanced on PKs.
