Deacs Travel to Elon for Second Straight Year
Wake Forest will play its first of two roads games this week on Tuesday night when the Demon Deacons battle Elon at 7 p.m. at Rudd Field.

Last Time Out
Wake Forest scored three goals in the first 55 minutes of the game and held off a Virginia comeback attempt in the final 10 minutes, as the Demon Deacons defeated the Cavaliers 3-2 on Friday night.
Luca Gimenez had a three-point night for the Deacs with a goal and an assist, while Andy Lubahn continued to lead the team in points with a pair of assists. He now has two goals and three assists for seven points on the year.
Michael Gamble also scored a goal in his first action of the season, and Sean Okoli provided what proved to be the game-winning goal. Chris Duvall also had an assist on the night for the Demon Deacons.
Elon Notes
Elon is undefeated through the first five games of the season, posting a 4-0-1 record so far.
The Phoenix won its home opener on Saturday against UNC-Wilmington 3-1. Jason Waterman had two goals, while Daniel Lovitz added a tally.
Waterman has been the leading offensive man for Elon through five games with a team-best four goals and two assists.
Series History
Wake Forest is 8-2-1 against Elon all-time since the series began in 1980, the first year of Demon Deacon soccer.
Each of Elon's wins have come in the last two seasons. The Phoenix defeated the Deacs 2-0 at Spry Stadium in 2011 and 1-0 at Rudd Field in 2012.
Elon's Chris Thomas scored the lone goal of the game last season, converting a penalty in the 17th minute.
Next Up...
Wake Forest will make its first-ever trip to Pitt on Saturday, as the Demon Deacons and the Panthers square off for the first time in school history.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The Deacs will then return home for two straight games, hosting VCU on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. and North Carolina on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.
