Wake Forest Notes (PDF)
- Wake Forest will look to remain unbeaten, hosting No. 18 Duke on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium before facing its first ACC road test at No. 21 Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m.
- The game against the Blue Devils will be carried live on the Wake Forest All-Access Package. Tyler Collins will have the call.

- The Deacons hold a 6-0-1 (1-0-1 ACC) record through their first seven games, marking the team's best start since 2009. Wake Forest joins Virginia (7-0-0) and Florida State (6-0-2) as the only remaining unbeatens in the ACC.
- Finnigan's Wake is giving Wake Forest soccer pint glasses and coupons for three free drinks at their location downtown to the first 250 students to come to Thursday's game against Duke

- Wake Forest is ranked No. 6 in this week's NSCAA poll and No. 3 in this week's Soccer America rankings. The No. 3 ranking is tied for the highest-ever rank for a Demon Deacon team in any of the major polls. The Deacs also reached No. 3 in 2011 and 2012.
- Katie Stengel is looking for the 50th goal of her career this weekend. The senior from Melbourne, Fla. scored the 49th goal of her career last Sunday against Miami.
- Aubrey Bledsoe recorded two shutouts to start ACC play and has not allowed a goal in the last 243:51 minutes.
- Wake Forest has been the best road team in the ACC since the start of the 2011 season, going 13-2-3 (.806) in true road games.
Offense Comes Alive Against Miami
- Wake Forest's put on a strong offensive showing against Miami, scoring two goals in the first 15 minute and adding two more later on to roll to a 4-0 win.
- Riley Ridgik scored two of the goals, posting the first multi-goal game of her career. She ranks second on the team with four goals this season.
- Katie Stengel had a four-point game, scoring the opening goal on a header and earning assists on two others.
- Ally Berry scored the other goal - her third score of the season.

Latest Chapter Ahead in Duke Rivalry
- Wake Forest's match with Duke on Thursday will be the resumption of a rivalry that has been one of the most intense in the ACC in recent years.
- The two teams have met five times in the past two seasons, including three times in the postseason.
- Wake Forest knocked Duke out of the 2011 and 2012 ACC Championships, but the Blue Devils downed the Deacons in the 2011 College Cup semifinals.

- Wake Forest will take a trip up north to face Boston College (Sept. 26) and Syracuse (Sept. 29). The Demon Deacons do not have another home game until Oct. 13 against Virginia, which will mark their Senior Day celebration.
