Deacons Travel to Boston College, Syracuse

No. 9 Wake Forest continues its four-match road stretch this week as it travels to face Boston College on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Syracuse on Sunday at noon.
It will be the Deacons' first trip to Boston since they played back-to-back games up there in the 2011 season. The Deacs fell to the Eagles in the final regular season game of 2011 but rebounded to beat them 3-2 a few days later in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship.
It will be the Deacons' first-ever match against the Orange. Syracuse joined the ACC for the 2013 season.

Top Storylines

Wake Forest is ranked No. 2 in the first release of the NCAA RPI rankings. The RPI is used for selection and seeding for the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship
Katie Stengel scored the 50th goal of her career in last week's 3-1 win over Duke. She is the first 50-goal scorer in program history.
Stengel's 50 goals are tied for the third-most in the country among active players.
Aubrey Bledsoe and Ally Berry have each played in 82 games in their college careers, tied for the third most nationally for active players.
The Demon Deacons are coming off of their first loss of the season, falling 1-0 at Maryland last Sunday. Wake Forest went 5-0-0 in games following a loss in 2012.

Road Warriors

Wake Forest has the best away record in the ACC since the start of the 2011 season, going 18-6-4 in true road games.
The Demon Deacons have not lost to an unranked team on the road since 2009.

Next Up...

Wake Forest will end its four-game road stretch with a trip to Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
The Demon Deacons' next home game will be against Virginia on Oct. 13. The team will hold its Senior Day ceremony prior to the match.
