No. 9 Deacons Travel to BC and Syracuse

- No. 9 Wake Forest continues its four-match road stretch this week as it travels to face Boston College on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Syracuse on Sunday at noon.
- It will be the Deacons' first trip to Boston since they played back-to-back games up there in the 2011 season. The Deacs fell to the Eagles in the final regular season game of 2011 but rebounded to beat them 3-2 a few days later in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship.
- It will be the Deacons' first-ever match against the Orange. Syracuse joined the ACC for the 2013 season.

- Wake Forest is ranked No. 2 in the first release of the NCAA RPI rankings. The RPI is used for selection and seeding for the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship
- Katie Stengel scored the 50th goal of her career in last week's 3-1 win over Duke. She is the first 50-goal scorer in program history.
- Stengel's 50 goals are tied for the third-most in the country among active players.
- Aubrey Bledsoe and Ally Berry have each played in 82 games in their college careers, tied for the third most nationally for active players.
- The Demon Deacons are coming off of their first loss of the season, falling 1-0 at Maryland last Sunday. Wake Forest went 5-0-0 in games following a loss in 2012.
Road Warriors
- Wake Forest has the best away record in the ACC since the start of the 2011 season, going 18-6-4 in true road games.
- The Demon Deacons have not lost to an unranked team on the road since 2009.

- Wake Forest will end its four-game road stretch with a trip to Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
- The Demon Deacons' next home game will be against Virginia on Oct. 13. The team will hold its Senior Day ceremony prior to the match.
