Deacs Travel To BC for Friday Night Showdown
- Wake Forest hits the road for the first time this season for a key ACC showdown with Boston College on Friday, Sept. 6.
- The game is schedule for an 8 p.m. kickoff from Alumni Stadium and will be broadcast on ESPN2. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com
Last time Out
- Wake Forest opened the season with a 31-7 victory over Presbyterian on Thursday, Aug. 29 at BB&T Field.
- The Demon Deacon defense allowed just two first downs on the night, including one on the first play of the game. The last time Wake Forest held an opponent to just two first downs in a game was against Maryland on Oct. 7, 1944.
- A total of 10 true freshmen saw action against Presbyterian. The previous high for true-freshmen playing in a season under head coach Jim Grobe was three.
- Redshirt-freshman Jonathan Williams hauled-in five passes for 143 yards which is the most reception yards by a Demon Deacon in his first career game.

- Head coach Jim Grobe is just three wins shy of tying "Peahead" Walker for the school record of 77 career victories.
- A total of 10 true freshmen played in the season-opener against Presbyterian. Entering the season, just 22 true freshmen saw the field in Jim Grobe's previous 12 seasons.
- The Wake Forest defense had a stellar performance against Presbyterian and as a result, it leads the country in a number of categories. The defense is ranked first in first downs allowed (2.0), yards allowed (151.0) and passing yards allowed (49.0).
The Opposition & Series History
- Wake Forest and Boston College are meeting for the 21st time with BC holding a slim 10-8-2 advantage in the series.
- After dropping four-straight, the Demon Deacons have won each of the last two meetings, including a 27-19 victory in their last trip to Alumni Stadium in 2011.
- Boston College scored 17 unanswered points to knock off Villanova 24-14 last Saturday at Alumni Stadium.

- The Demon Deacons return home to face ULM in the first contest between the two teams.
