WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - U.S. National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Michael Parkhurst to the USMNT training camp roster in place of Brad Evans, who suffered a calf strain in Seattle's 1-0 win against Columbus on Saturday night.
The U.S. next sees action on September 6 against Costa Rica in San Jose, where it will seek its first-ever away win in qualifying against the Ticos (10 p.m. ET, beIN SPORT and ESPN Deportes Radio).
On September 10, a sold-out crowd that includes more than 9,000 fans in the supporters sections will watch USA-Mexico. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN, UniMas and ESPN Deportes Radio.
Parkhurst has been called in now for 14 of the USMNT's 17 matches this year. The Americans are 12-2-0 with Parkhurst on the roster and 13-2-2 overall.
Team USA is also currently riding an all-time best winning streak at 12 consecutive games. Parkhurst has been a part of all 12 wins and has been on the roster now 14 consecutive times.
The former Demon Deacon last played in a 4-3 come-from-behind win on the road against No. 13-ranked Bosnia-Herzegovina. Parkhurst entered the game in the 80th minute.
