Deacs Head to Charlotte to Play 49ers
Wake Forest will stay in the state of North Carolina on Tuesday when it travels to play Charlotte at 7 p.m. at Transamerica Field.

Last Time Out
With just 57 seconds remaining in regulation, Jalen Robinson headed home a corner from Michael Gamble to tie the game at 1-1 and help Wake Forest tie North Carolina on Saturday night.
The crowd of 4,587 was the largest regular season crowd in Spry Stadium history and the fourth-largest crowd of all time.
North Carolina got on the board in the 26th minute. The Deacons had good chances in the second half to equalize, including a PK by Luca Gimenez that was saved.
The Deacs then outshot the Tar Heels 5-1 in the two overtime periods, but neither team could net the game winner.
Charlotte Notes
Charlotte is will be wrapping up a four-game homestand with Wake Forest on Tuesday. The 49ers are 2-1-0 so far during that stretch with wins over Campbell (3-0) and UCF (2-0) and a loss on Friday to South Carolina (1-2).
Giuseppe Gentile leads the team with four goals and nine points, while Kyle Parker, Luke Waechter and Aidan Kirkbride each have two goals apiece.
Will Mayhew and David Mayer each have three assists on the year.
Klay Davis has started every game in goal and has made 15 saves and posted a 0.75 goals against average.
Series History
Wake Forest and Charlotte began the all-time series in 1980, and the Demon Deacons hold a slight 7-5-2 all-time advantage over the 49ers.
Charlotte has won the last two meetings (9/29/09 & 9/14/10).
The Demon Deacons have been fairly successful on the road against Charlotte, posting a 4-1-2 all-time record on 49er turf.
Next Up...
Wake Forest will play three straight games in the ACC, beginning at home on Friday night at 7 p.m. against Virginia Tech.
The Deacs will then go to NC State (Oct. 8) before returning home to host Clemson (Oct. 11).
