WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest has added Nate Kish to its men's soccer staff as volunteer assistant coach, head coach Jay Vidovich announced today.
Kish, the former head coach at Division III Emory & Henry, comes to Wake Forest from Ohio State where he served as a volunteer assistant last season.
"I'm extremely excited to join the staff at Wake Forest," said Kish. "I had the opportunity to see how the program operates when I worked camps here, and I was very impressed. Wake Forest has had a lot of success in soccer, and I'm looking forward being a part of one of the top programs in the country.
"We are very excited to have Nate on our staff," said head coach Jay Vidovich. "He brings a tremendous amount of experience with him to Wake Forest and will fit in well with our program."
Before his one season at Ohio State, Kish spent two years as head coach at Emory & Henry.
Kish was a four-year letterwinner at Division III Capital University in Ohio where he helped build the program into a national power.
After completing his playing career, Kish went to Frostburg State as a graduate assistant coach for the men's soccer program. While at Frostburg State, he helped lead that program to a two-year record of 26-14-2.
Kish then went on to hold assistant coaching positions at Capital, where he helped the team to an Ohio Athletic Conference championship, and Catholic University before taking the head job at Emory & Henry.
Kish earned a bachelor's degree in education from Capital and a master's degree in interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in physical education and business administration at Frostburg State.
