MOBILE, Ala. - Wake Forest senior cornerback Kevin Johnson has accepted an invitation to play in the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl on Jan. 24 at Mobile, Alabama's Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Practices begin on Jan. 20 and all practices and the game will be televised on the NFL Network.

Johnson, a 6-1, 175-pounder from Clarksville, Md. (River Hill HS), has 43 tackles on the season including 31 solo stops. He has one interception on the year (vs. Clemson) and is tied for the team lead with six pass break-ups.

Johnson, a four-year starter in Wake Forest's secondary, has anchored a Demon Deacon defense that ranks second in the ACC and 10th in the nation in fewest passing yards allowed. Wake Forest is 38th nationally in total defense.

Johnson scored his first career touchdown in the season-opener at Louisiana-Monroe when he recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.

This marks the fourth straight year that a Demon Deacon has earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl. OL Joe Looney started the streak in 2012 and was followed by FB Tommy Bohanon in 2013 and WR Michael Campanaro last year.
