Opening Statement...
"Delaware State came out and played a very good ballgame. They came out and they were clicking right from the beginning. They controlled the game. We got within striking distance a couple times, but we weren't able to sustain it. Whether it was an offensive rebound after good first-shot defense and giving a second-chance opportunity, or not getting a 50-50 ball, those were big in the course of the game. They out-rebounded us, they had more points in the paint, they had more second-chance points. For us to continue to have success, we have to win those categories."

On the team's effort...
"For 50-50 balls, I thought there were times we could've gone after some balls that we didn't go after like we should have. We can sit here and watch tape and talk about all the things we did or didn't do; the bottom line is we have to come out and have a better effort."

On what Delaware did to impact the game...
"I think those eight blocked shots were big. We got the ball where we wanted to, and then [Kendall] Gray makes a great defensive play. He definitely dominated the point tonight. And then [Amere] May came out and got off to a great start and never slowed down. Those two guys had a huge impact on the game and made some great plays for their team."

Delaware Head Coach Keith Walker

On Amere May's game...
"I didn't expect that tonight, and I'm not going to sit here and say that I did expect him to score 32 points, but I know good and well he's very capable. This young man led the state of Michigan in scoring when I recruited him years ago...This is something that's not out of the ordinary for him."

On the size differential...
"We knew coming in that they were much bigger than we were. Outside of Kendall Gray, we're a relatively small team as Division I standards are concerned. We're not that big once Kendall leaves the floor. We also know and understand that if you're 6-8, 6-9 and you've got a 6-3 guy, and you've got to guard the 6-9 guy in the post, [that's] a liability. We ran guard sets and that 6-8, 6-9 guy had to guard Amere {May], and now that asset [for them] becomes a liability and that's what we used."
