WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest junior forward Aaron Rountree III has been nominated for the Allstate NABC Good Works Team, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Wednesday.

The award recognizes a select group of college basketball student-athletes who have made significant contributions to the greater good of their communities through volunteerism and civic service.

This marks the second straight season that Rountree has been nominated for the award.

In its third year, the Allstate NABC and WBCA Good Works Teams honor players at all levels of college basketball who represent the sport's finest in the areas of leadership and charitable achievements amongst their peers. The student-athletes nominated for this prestigious award embody the true spirit of teamwork and giving back.

Rountree is one of seven players in the ACC nominated for the award. The final award winners, which will include five men's Division I players, will be announced in February.

Rountree is a member of Wake Forest's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and has generously volunteered his time on campus and in the community.

Rountree serves on the "Eat With The Deacs" committee, which is a program that brings together Wake Forest student-athletes and local youth for mentorship opportunities each month. Aaron has also volunteered with service projects such as the Skip Prosser Literacy Program, Habitat for Humanity, Project Pumpkin, Hit the Bricks for cancer research, Leveling the Playing Field, Operation Christmas Child and Santa's Helpers.

In August 2013, Rountree volunteered with Hope & Hope Ministries, traveling to St. Vincent and the Grenadines on a mission trip. On the trip, Aaron helped clean up local parks and participated in basketball and soccer clinics with area youth.

Rountree is double majoring in economics and communication and completed Wake Forest's Summer Management Program in 2014.

From the 158 NABC nominees and 93 WBCA nominees, distinguished voting panels will select two 10-member teams comprised of five student-athletes from the NCAA Division I level and five student-athletes from NCAA Divisions II, III and the NAIA. The final roster of 20 award recipients will be unveiled in February.
