Wake Forest will open the 61st annual ACC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon when the No. 12-seeded Demon Deacons take on No. 13 seed Notre Dame in Greensboro.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and on the ACC Network and streamed online on WatchESPN. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest is coming off a 69-56 loss at Miami on Saturday in the Deacons' regular season finale. The Hurricanes used a 12-0 run early in the second half to pull away from the Demon Deacons.
Coron Williams led Wake Forest with 17 points, going 5-for-8 from 3-point range, while also tying for the team lead with four rebounds.
Arnaud William Adala Moto and Tyler Cavanaugh scored eight points each, with Adala Moto also grabbing four rebounds.
Codi Miller-McIntyre dished out six assists, hitting the six-assist mark for the third time in the last four games.
Wake Forest Storylines
Coron Williams is 9-for-16 from 3-point range over the past three games and has scored in double figures in each contest. He is the first Deacon with 60+ 3-pointers in a season since Justin Gray in 2006.
Travis McKie needs three rebounds to move into 10th on Wake Forest's career rebounding list. He enters the game with 811 career rebounds.
Codi Miller-McIntyre has 22 assists against six turnovers over the past four games, giving him an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.67.
Wake Forest completed its first home sweep of its in-state rivals Duke, North Carolina and NC State since the 2008-09 season.
Series History
Wake Forest is 2-0 all-time against Notre Dame following the Demon Deacons' 65-58 win in Winston-Salem on Jan. 25.
In the teams' first-ever meeting, the Deacons beat the Fighting Irish 71-61 in the championship game of the 2000 Postseason NIT at Madison Square Garden.
Wake Forest freshman guard Miles Overton and Notre Dame freshman guard Steve Vasturia were high school teammates at St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia. The two played for legendary coach Bill "Speedy" Morris and led St. Joseph's Prep to the PIAA state semifinals as high school seniors last season.
ACC Tournament History
Wake Forest is 42-56 all-time at the ACC Tournament, including a 16-22 mark at the Greensboro Coliseum.
The Deacons have four ACC Tournament titles to their credit, winning the event in 1961 and 1962 in Raleigh and in 1995 and 1996 in Greensboro.

The winner of Wednesday's game between Wake Forest and Notre Dame will face No. 5 seed Pittsburgh on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Friday's quarterfinal matchup would be against No. 4 seed North Carolina, who earned a double-bye in the tournament.
