Politz and Reaves Earn U.S. Development Academy Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Incoming freshmen Kevin Politz and Kris Reaves earned U.S. Soccer Development Academy Starting XI honors as announced by U.S. Soccer this week.
Politz, a native of Morganville, N.J., was honored on the U-17/18 East Conference Starting XI. A defender for the New York Red Bulls Academy, he was also named to the U.S. Soccer Academy Eastern Conference Starting XI in 2012. Politz is ranked as the 24th best player in his class and the fourth-best defender by Top Drawer Soccer.
Hailing from Duluth, Ga., Reaves earns the Starting XI honor in the U-17/18 Central Conference as a defender for the FC Dallas Academy. Reaves was honored last season as well and is ranked as the 45th-best player in his class by Top Drawer Soccer and the ninth-best defender.
Wake Forest men's soccer will open the regular season on August 29 at 7:30 p.m. when the Deacs host UCLA at Spry Stadium.
