Wake Forest Picked Second in Atlantic Division

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's soccer team has been selected to finish second in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference, according to the ACC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll that was released by the conference office on Tuesday. The voting for the poll was conducted by the league's 12 head coaches.
Wake Forest received two first place votes for the division while Louisville and finished with 57 points. Louisville was voted to finish first in the division with 69 points and nine first place votes.
Notre Dame was voted by the coaches to win the ACC with six first place votes. Virginia, North Carolina and Louisville all received votes for first place while the Fighting Irish were chosen to win the Coastal Division.
Wake Forest finished with a 10-6-5 record last season with a 6-1-4 mark in the ACC. Ranked No. 11 in the NSCAA preseason poll, Wake Forest will open the regular season with three top-10 opponents and host No. 4 UCLA on August 29 at Spry Stadium.
The Demon Deacons welcome No. 22 North Carolina on Saturday at Spry Stadium in the final exhibition game at 7 p.m.
