WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's soccer will be holding its 2014 alumni weekend Sept. 20-21 in conjunction with the game against NC State and homecoming to celebrate the program's 20th anniversary.
"For me, it's very satisfying to know that in 20 years we've established ourselves as a very consistent NCAA performer," head coach Tony da Luz said. "Just looking back at the pride our players and our alumni have with the program, and they stay in touch with the program, they're really excited for this celebration, homecoming weekend and the 20th anniversary. It's going to be a lot of fun to see everybody and their kids. I'd love to have as many of them come back as they can, hopefully it's going to be a big show."
The weekend festivities begin with tailgating for the homecoming football game against Army, which Bib's Downtown will cater.
Following the Saturday game, there will be an alumni gathering in downtown Winston-Salem at a location to be determined.
On Sunday, the women's soccer alumni game will be held at 11 a.m., and includes food and drinks. After the alumni game, the Demon Deacons will kick off at 1 p.m., where food and drinks will be available while alumni watch from Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill.
The cost for alumni and other attending adults is $20. Kids age 10-and-older cost $10, and children younger than 10 are free.
To register, fill out the attached form and return it to WF Women's Soccer, PO Box 7346, Winston-Salem, NC, 27109. Alumni who are unable to attend are encouraged to fill out the form so contact information for all members of the Deacs' soccer family is up-to-date.
