Deacs' Recruiting Class Ranked Top 10 Nationally

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - For the third consecutive season, Wake Forest men's soccer's recruiting class has been ranked in the Top-10 nationally according to national outlets. The Demon Deacons' recruiting class has been ranked No. 9 by TopDrawerSoccer.com and No. 8 by College Soccer News.
The freshman class of 2014 includes Kevin Politz, a U.S. U-17 product along with USMNT U-18 player Kris Reaves. Other members of the recruiting class include Spanish midfielder Jon Baquero, Steven Echevarria, John Schuman, Hank Gauger, Ian Story, Dominic Scotti, Heath Honold, Chase Rhode, Matt Szucs and Zach Fingerhut.
Last year's recruiting class included top caliber players like All-ACC Freshman Team honorees Ian Harkes and Jacori Hayes. Harkes was named a Freshman All-American by College Soccer News while Harkes and Hayes trained with the USMNT U-20 team in the offseason.
Wake Forest hosts No. 22 North Carolina on Saturday at 7 p.m. for its final exhibition game before opening the regular season on August 29 against No. 4 UCLA at Spry Stadium.
