• No. 24 Wake Forest leaves the friendly confines of Spry Stadium for the first time, heading to Kansas for the 2014 road-opener.

• The Demon Deacons suffered their first defeat of the 2014 season, falling 2-1 to James Madison on Friday.
• Wake Forest jumped out to an early lead when a Sarah Medina cross found Kendall Fischlein in front of the net. Fischlein finished upper-90 for the Deacon ninth-minute goal.
