Wake Forest Hits The Road >>
No. 24 Wake Forest leaves the friendly confines of Spry Stadium for the first time, heading to Kansas for the 2014 road-opener.
Last Time Out >>
The Demon Deacons suffered their first defeat of the 2014 season, falling 2-1 to James Madison on Friday.
Wake Forest jumped out to an early lead when a Sarah Medina cross found Kendall Fischlein in front of the net. Fischlein finished upper-90 for the Deacon ninth-minute goal.
The Dukes responded by putting two of their three shots on goal in the back of the net, including the eventual game-winner in the 51st minute.
Kim Marshall had an open look in front of the net later in the second half, but her shot clanked off the crossbar.
Scouting The Jayhawks >>
Kansas has opened the 2014 season with a 3-0 record, holding wins over Wyoming (3-1), SMU (3-0) and UTSA (2-1) most recently.
Liana Salazar leads the way for the Jayhawks, notching three goals and an assist in the first three contests. Lois Heuchan has also added a pair of scores.
In goal, Kaitlyn Stroud (2-0, 0.50 GAA, .889 SV%) and Maddie Dobyns (1-0, 1.00 GAA, .667 SV%) have each seen action.
Kansas finished 7-11-2 a year ago.
