Josh Banks Named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest sophomore defensive tackle Josh Banks has been named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week.
Banks, a 6-4, 260-pound redshirt sophomore from Apex, NC/Middle Creek High School, had seven tackles (3 solos, 4 assists), a sack and two tackles for loss in a 36-24 loss at Utah State on Saturday. In addition, Banks intercepted a Chuckie Keeton pass and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown marking the longest interception return for a score ever by a Wake Forest defensive tackle.
Banks is the first Demon Deacon to receive an ACC Player of the Week award this season. This was also the first ACC weekly honor of Banks' career.
