No. 14 Wake Forest heads on the road for the first time in the 2014 season as the Deacs travel to Virginia Tech. Wake Forest was set to play at Davidson on Tuesday but the game was postponed due to adverse weather.

Behind a first half goal from Hayden Partain and an early second half goal from Michael Gamble, Wake Forest defeated NC State 2-1 on Friday night in the ACC opener for each team.
Wake Forest has now won three-straight games and broke NC State's (2-2-1, 0-1-0 ACC) streak of over 240 minutes without allowing a goal. Two NC State players were given red cards in the game which gave Wake Forest a two-man advantage for the final 13:24 minutes of the game.
The Demon Deacons got on the board in the first half as Partain headed in a cross from Kris Reaves for his first goal of the season.
Gamble put Wake Forest up 2-0 as he scored just 45 seconds into the second half as he made a long run down the right side and put one past the keeper.

Junior forward Michael Gamble continued to produce after being named the ACC Player of the Week last Tuesday. After putting up a combined five points against UConn and Cleveland State the weekend before, Gamble had the game-winner against NC State.
