  • Wake Forest improves to 2-2 on the season
  • Dave Clawson improves to 2-2 in his first year at Wake Forest and 92-82 in his 15th year as a head coach

Ground Game

  • The Deacons recorded their first rushing touchdown of the year when freshman Isaiah Robinson scampered 15 yards for a score in the first quarter.
  • That was also Robinson's first-career rushing touchdown.
  • Orville Reynolds broke a 36-yard run in the fourth quarter, marking the longest run of the season for the Demon Deacons and the longest run since Oct. 19, 2013.
  • The Deacons finished the day with 100 yards on the ground, the most in a game this year.

Serigne Finally Reaches Paydirt

  • Tight end Cam Serigne came into the game with a team-high 15 receptions but he had yet to record a touchdown grab.
  • That ended at the beginning of the second quarter as he hauled-in a 6-yard TD pass to give Wake a 14-7 lead.
  • Serigne finished the game with six receptions for 48 yards.
  • Serigne was targeted six times today and made six receptions.

Perfect Start

  • Placekicker Mike Weaver connected on a 20-yard field goal in the third quarter making the score 21-17.
  • That made him 6-for-6 to start the season in field goal attempts, tying Tracy Lounsbury's (1969) school-record of consecutive makes to start a career.
  • Weaver is also perfect on his nine PATs this season.

There He Goes Again

  • Grad student E.J. Scott gave the Demon Deacons a 24-21 lead with a 12-yard touchdown reception midway through the fourth quarter.
  • Scott has not caught a touchdown in each of the last three games.
  • He has a team-high four touchdown grabs on the year.
  • The four touchdown grabs are the most in one season for Scott.
  • He finished the game with a season-high tying five catches for a season-high 64 yards.

Defensive Stoppers

  • One week after recording a career-high 18 tackles, sophomore Ryan Janvion notched a team-high 12 tackles today.
  • Marquel Lee also finished the game with nine tackles, giving him at least eight stops in each of the four games this season.

Season/Career Highs

  • Wide receiver Matt James hauled-in a career-high seven catches for a career-high 64 yards.
  • Freshman Isaiah Robinson finished the game with season-highs of 17 carries and 60 to go along with his first-career touchdown.
  • Wendell Dunn recorded a career-high eight tackles.
  • Thomas Brown made his first-career start and finished with a career-high seven tackles.
