• Wake Forest returns home to the friendly confines of Spry Stadium to host VMI on Tuesday in a non-conference contest.

• Virginia Tech scored two second half goals as Wake Forest fell 2-0 at Thompson Field on Friday night.The Hokies (4-3-0, 1-1-0 ACC) scored in the 53rd minute and held off Wake Forest before adding a late goal to seal the 2-0 win.
• Wake Forest had a couple chances in the first half on offense and outshot the Hokies 7-4 in the period. Jacori Hayes had a shot in the 16th minute that just barely went over the crossbar. Michael Gamble had a point-blank opportunity in the 20th minute that was saved by the Hokie goalkeeper to keep Wake Forest off the board.
• After halftime, Virginia Tech scored the first goal of the game in the 53rd minute as Ricardo John found a seam in the box and put one in to put the Hokies up 1-0. The Hokies scored in the final minutes to make it 2-0.
