Wake Forest takes to the road this week as the Demon Deacons travel to Clemson for a Friday match up.

Michael Gamble scored four goals and added an assist as Wake Forest defeated VMI 7-0 on Tuesday night.
Wake Forest scored three goals in the first half and added four in the second while limiting VMI (1-5-1) to just two shots which came near the end of the game. Wake Forest had 37 shots total in the contest which is three short of the school record set in 1986.
It was the first four-goal output for a Demon Deacon in nearly 31 years as Gamble had a nine-point night. Hayden Partain, Tane Gent and Sam Fink each had a goal in the game while Jared Odenbeck and Hank Gauger had two assists. Partain, Gent and Ian Harkes all chipped in an assist.

Michael Gamble's four goals against VMI were the first for a Demon Deacons since 1983 when Mark Erwin had four against Davidson which was the only previous time a Deac has had four in a game. The last Deacon to have three goals was Sean Okoli who had a hat trick against NC State in 2012.
It was the first four-goal game by an ACC player since 2011 when Will Bates of Virginia had four.
This was the first game Wake Forest has scored seven goals since the Deacs had a 7-0 win over Dartmouth in the NCAA Tournament in 2008.
