WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced the 2015 football schedule for all 14 teams. In head coach Dave Clawson's second season, Wake Forest will play six home games including a non-conference game against Power Five opponent Indiana and a road non-conference game at Notre Dame.
The Deacons open play on Thursday, Sept. 3 when they host Elon. The Elon contest was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5. Wake Forest will then make consecutive trips to New York, opening ACC play at Syracuse on Sept. 12 before visiting Army on Sept. 19. The Deacons return home for two straight games at BB&T Field starting with Big 10 member Indiana on Sept. 26.
Wake Forest hosts CFP semifinalist Florida State on Oct. 3 at BB&T Field before facing two more road games. The Deacons travel to Boston College on Oct. 10 and cross state to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Oct. 17. Wake Forest then hosts NC State on Oct. 24 before entertaining Louisville on Friday, Oct. 30.
Following an open date on Nov. 7, Wake Forest closes the season at Notre Dame on Nov. 14, at Clemson on Nov. 21 and at home against Duke on Nov. 28.
"We are looking forward to the 2015 season," said Clawson. "It's a very challenging non-conference schedule with Notre Dame, Indiana and Army. The ACC schedule is always very challenging. It should make for a very competitive season."
