Three Deacons Compete at Elon Phoenix Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Three members of the Wake Forest men's golf team competed as individuals this week at the Elon Phoenix Invitational at Alamance Country Club. Andrew Winters, Kyle Sterbinsky and Ben Balter were in action at the tournament.

Winters posted rounds of 73, 74 and 74 to finish T-27th at 8-over for the tournament. Sterbinsky was T-31st at 9-over after rounds of 73, 75 and 74. Balter was also T-31st at 9-over, carding rounds of 74, 76 and 72.

The Demon Deacons, who earned Golfweek Team of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after winning the U.S. Collegiate Championship, will conclude the fall portion of their schedule Nov. 2-4 at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Hawaii.
