The Match-Up
• Wake Forest returns to Winston-Salem to take on another in-state foe, NC State, on Saturday at noon.
• The game airs live on RSN, which includes Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest is coming off a 50-14 loss to North Carolina, which is sitting just outside the top-25 in the national polls.
• QB John Wolford returned to his early-season form, completing more than 70 percent of his passes and recording a pair of touchdowns through the air before leaving the game early in the third quarter due to injury.
• After not forcing a turnover the first five games, the defense has forced six over the past two games, including a pair of interceptions against the Tar Heels.
• However, North Carolina took advantage of its opening for six plays of 30-or-more yards to pull away from the Demon Deacons after Wolford's injury.
• The Deacs still rank in the top 15 in passing defense and top 30 in total defense.
• Wake Forest's 2015 FBS opponents have a combined record of 46-24, including two unbeaten teams in Florida State and Clemson.

The Opposition & Series History
• Wake Forest is set to take on its most common opponent, as the Demon Deacons are taking on the Wolfpack for the 109th time overall.
• The two clubs are meeting for the 106th consecutive year, the fourth-longest uninterrupted series in the NCAA today.
• NC State holds a 64-38-6 lead in the all-time series.
• The home team has won the last eight meetings in the series. The Demon Deacons were the last road team to win in the series, claiming a 2006 victory in Raleigh.
• Wake Forest has been victorious in six straight meetings in Winston-Salem. NC State's last road win in the series occurred in 2001.

On Deck
• Wake Forest remains in Winston-Salem for a Friday night affair under the lights against Louisville on Oct. 30.
• That game will air on ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m., and will be the first home Friday game since beating Maryland 35-17 on Friday, November 17, 1967 at Bowman Gray Stadium.
