Wake Forest Hosts LSU in Season Opener
• The Demon Deacons will open the season at home on Friday against LSU at the LJVM Coliseum. It is the first game in a double header with the men's basketball team taking on UMBC after the conclusion of the women's game.
• The game can be viewed on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Wake Forest Storylines
• The Demon Deacons were picked to finish 14th in the ACC this season by both the Blue Ribbon Panel and the coaches' preseason poll.
• Wake Forest posted a 13-20 record last season with a 2-14 mark in conference play, which tied the Demon Deacons for 14th in the conference.
• The Deacs made a run in the ACC Championship last year, posting victories in the first two rounds over Boston College and No. 22 Syracuse before dropping a nine-point game to Duke. With the wins, Wake Forest is the only team in the league to have won a game in the tournament each of the last seven seasons.
• The Deacs return four starters from last year's team, including Amber Campbell, who was the only player to start all 33 games on the campaign. Campbell averaged 10.7 points per game to go with 3.3 rebounds per game and a team-high 53 steals.
• Wake Forest is without All-American Dearica Hamby who graduated as the program's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. Hamby was the first Deac ever selected in the WNBA Draft when she went sixth overall to the San Antonio Stars.

Series History
• This is just the second-ever meeting between Wake Forest and LSU.
• The Tigers won the only previous meeting, 63-52, at LSU.
• The Demon Deacons are 7-7 all-time against SEC teams. The Deacs haven't faced a team from the SEC since 2008-09 season when Wake Forest beat Mississippi and South Carolina.

Next Time Out
• Wake Forest opens the season with three-straight home games. The Demon Deacons also host ETSU on Sunday and Davidson on Tuesday.
