NSCAA Scholar All-South Region Honorees

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jacori Hayes of Wake Forest men's soccer has been named a First Team NSCAA Division I and II Scholar All-South Region honoree, the organization announced Thursday.
Hayes, a junior from Bowie, Maryland, holds a 3.69 grade point average and is majoring in Physics. He is one of four players from ACC schools to be named to any of the teams, joining Andrew Tarbell and Paul Clowes of Clemson and Jonathan Campbell of North Carolina. All four players garnered First Team honors. The three teams are made up of players from both Division I and II programs across the region.
This season, Hayes tallied five goals, all game-winners, while starting 21 of the Demon Deacons' 22 games this season. The midfielder scored notable game-winners against Louisville in overtime of the ACC Quarterfinals, against North Carolina on Oct. 17 and against Santa Clara in the season opener on Aug. 28. His five goals this season marks a career-high. Finishing the season with five assists, Hayes fell one short of his career high from 2014.
Additionally this season, Hayes was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, First Team All-ACC, Second Team NSCAA All-South Region and a member of the ACC Championship All-Tournament Team. During the season, Hayes earned Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honors on Oct. 20 while being named the organization's 15th-ranked player on the Midseason Top 100 in the Nation list and No. 4 on the Midseason Top 20 Players in the ACC list.
