MamaDear to Perform at Wake Forest-Virginia Game

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Nashville-recording group, MamaDear, which features a former Screamin' Demon, will perform at next week's basketball game against Virginia on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The up-and-coming country group will perform the national anthem and then a give a special performance at halftime.
Tip-off for Wednesday's game is set for 7 p.m. at the LJVM Coliseum. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Click here for tickets to the game.
From their decision to be a band while gathered on a front porch in Nashville in 2012, to playing the AT&T Stage at CMA Fest 2014, MamaDear has stirred audiences with a breath of fresh country air. Their sweet harmonies, feel-good southern charm and infectious melodies have caught the ear of not only the Nashville music industry, but diverse audiences all over the country.
Most recently, MamaDear was noted as the "Best Up-and-Comer" at CMA Fest 2014 on RollingStone.com.
Consisting of Daniel Wilson, Kelly Tillotson, and Wake Forest alum and former Screamin' Demon, Parker Bradway, the group is more than excited to be playing at Wake Forest.
"My four years at Wake Forest were truly the best four years of my life, so it means so much to be able to come back to this school and share what I've been up to these last few years," said Bradway. "It's kind of like combining my two favorite worlds--Wake Forest and country music."
MamaDear will also be performing a full show at The Rock House Tavern at Ziggy's in Winston-Salem next Thursday, Feb. 26. Admission is $7. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m. For more information, visit ZiggyRock.net.
